Valentine's Day

Its that time of the year again.

Yes.Time for spending money on the so-called loved one you have.

Time to act as if you really love your partner and pretend that you are going to be together forever.

Valentine's Day. The day when all single people love to hate and all coupled people hate to love.

To me, Singaporeans treat it like a period of time to dig out business opportunities. Ever the pragmatic people we are, we just cannot forgo the so-called festival as another one of those goldmines that is so lovely to dig.

Just look at the brainforest of clementi. Bazaars are setup everywhere, selling clothes, makeup, books, chocolate marshmellows, sweets ice cream balloons that all scream 'I love you'

So synthesized, so fake, so commercial...... SO UNROMANTIC

Is true love to be celebrated in this way? Commercially? With mass-produced clothes and chocolates and flowers and diamonds and whatever that comes out during this 'season of love' And most Singaporeans, especially the young couples, are stupid enough to fuel this synthesized industry and spoil the already abused Valentine's Day even more badly.....

Think about it. If you are giving your loved one something that somebody else will be giving theirs, what is special about your love for your other half?

A day to celebrate the love between two people is supposed to be special. It is for you to let your significant other know that you really care for him/her (at that point of time), that you love him/her to your best, to renew your attachment to each other. It is not for you to give things to him/her that are produced by some factories in China or Malaysia. It only goes to show how unbothered you are to think of something that is really meaningful or sincere....

Anyway, talking about Valentine's Day, where is my true love?

Sigh.... Dumb question I guess... As dumb as those who buy roses for their valentine

I wonder if anybody out there love me, or even remotely likes me?

Haha, if there is such a person, please appear before me..... More often....

So that I can see you.... Sigh

Never mind
